What else makes us different? As you may know Derian House the children's hospice in Chorley opens its doors 365 days a year for the children and families who need their care and support. And yet sadly, they only receive government funding to cover the costs of only 4 of these days. Therefore, the remaining 361 days of each year, active funding raising has to be done to generate the monies needed to survive, and survive for the children they must! From the launch of HomeSmart Properties, we have made a charitable pledge to the children and staff at Derian House, to give direct upon instant completion of every house sold – 10% of our commission fee payable. That's not 10% of company profits, IN-FACT it's 10% before ANY costs are taken.
How does it work? Well, within our Terms and Conditions, we pledge that via the vendors conveyancer, on completion of the sale, before our fee is transferred to us, 10% of this is sent direct to Derian House. The remaining 90% of our fee is then sent to HomeSmart Properties, to cover costs etc. In addition we ask that vendors, complete the gift aid form within our folder packs, which means Derian House then have the opportunity to claim back 28p per £ donated in tax relief for them.
